Inclusive of City & Guilds Registration, Assessment & Certification
The City & Guilds Introduction to Trainer Skills is designed to provide the participants with a sound introduction to the concepts of a systematic approach to training. It is comprehensive in content at this level, building the skills, knowledge and abilities of a participant that are required to be an effective trainer.
On completion of the Introduction to Trainer Skills, learners will equip themselves and their employer with a member of staff who is able to plan, deliver and evaluate effective training, no matter what the content of the subject they are delivering.
The course is based on the training cycle, covering three main areas:
1. Planning (including session planning)
2. Delivery (participants will deliver a 15 minute 'session' that they have planned)
3. Evaluation (self, peer group and course evaluation).
There are no prerequisites to attend this training.

Anyone, in any role, who trains other employees in their organisation or candidates looking for a training qualification as an alternative to the 6502 Award in Education and Training (formerly PTLLS) there is no Pre-requisite for attending this course.

The knowledge and practical skills gained on the course will be assessed by a multiple-choice quiz and an observation (by the course tutor) of the participants delivering a 15 minute training session, on which they will receive formal feedback. If you have any concerns about the assessments, please contact us to discuss.

This course embraces the requirements under The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER 1998) and covers selection, mounting and the safe use of abrasive wheels. The machines we discuss are the angle grinder, chop saw, petrol cutter (Stihl Saw) and bench grinders. This course is suitable for beginners up to experienced practitioners.
