Our 2-day Manual Handling Train the Trainer course enables you and gives you the confidence to become an instructor delivering effective manual handling training to operatives. The training is suitable for any industry and covers the widest variety of situations.

 

This course has been developed by and is regularly reviewed by experts the field. This is NOT just a course on how to pick up a box, we guarantee you will learn so much more than you think and will really enjoy it too! There are no prerequisites to attend this training. This course is suitable for beginners, up to experienced practitioners. We incorporate all levels of experience within the training inspiring you to focus on the importance of good manual handling within the workplace.

Course Aim:  

To enable the delegate to carry out their own courses to train operatives in safe manual handling, in compliance with the relevant regulations. (please note this course does not cover People Moving & Handling, it is for inanimate objects only).

 

Certification:  

The attendee will receive a City & Guilds Profile of Achievement Award & National Training Services Instructor Certification valid for 3 years. After which a 1 day Refresher Course  is recommended.

Our open courses are held at our training centre Unit 1, Adams House, Northampton Science Park, Kings Park Road, Moulton Park Industrial Estate, Northampton, NN3 6LG.

Trainers or individuals who have the responsibility for delivering manual handling training. There are no prior learning requirements for this course.

Is This Course Approved By City And Guilds?  

Yes

Assessment Criteria:  

There is a short written test and the trainees will be assessed on the practical element.

The training involves candidate participation with the emphasis on the practical element of the training. On day two the candidate will carry out a practical training session on which they will be assessed. If you have any concerns about the assessment criteria or process, please contact us to discuss. 

City And Guilds Profile Of Achievement:  

The candidate will complete a pre-course questionnaire, a mid course interview and a post-course professional discussion to fulfill the requirements of the City and Guilds Profile of Achievement criteria.
