Our 2 days CAT (Cable Avoidance Tool) and Genny (signal generator) train the trainer course enables you to become an instructor,
delivering effective training in the safe use of underground service locator machine's to operatives in various industries.
There are no prerequisites to attend this training. This course is suitable for beginners, up to experienced practitioners. We incorporate all levels of experience within the training.
This course enables trainers to create and deliver their own training on a variety of equipment using a generic format covered in the course.
They will be able to adapt the training themselves, for their own work situations.
On the course, we use the following equipment as examples for the practical element: RD8200 & Radiodetection e C.A.T 4+

To enable candidates to conduct a course to train operatives in the safe use of underground service locators and signal generators.
The attendee will receive a City & Guilds Profile of Achievement Award & National Training Services Instructor Certification valid for 3 years. After which a 1 day Refresher Course is recommended.
Our open courses are held at our training center Unit 1, Adams House, Northampton Science Park, Kings Park Road, Moulton Park Industrial Estate, Northampton, NN3 6LG.
We can also bring our training to you for groups, Nationwide. Contact us for a free of charge quotation.
You will receive everything you need to the deliver training as soon as you leave the course including the PowerPoint presentation, step by step course delivery guide, handouts, trainers manual, practical and theory assessment guidance plus free post course support from us.

There are no prerequisites to attending this course and there is no need to worry if you have not trained before. We are here to support you no matter what level you are at as this course is designed to encompass all levels of trainer.

Yes
There is a short question paper and a practical assessment. The trainees will be continually assessed throughout the course. The training involves candidate participation. On day two the candidate will carry out a practical training session on which they will be assessed. Any problems with the aforementioned assessment criteria, please discuss this with us.
The candidate will complete a pre-course questionnaire, a mid course interview and a post-course professional discussion to fulfill the requirements of the City and Guilds Profile of Achievement criteria.
