Overview:

For the delegate to be able to deliver their own courses in safe vehicle marshalling to operatives. Including regulations, hazards, pre-operation checks, effective communication methods, common errors, signs and signals.

There are no prerequisites to attend this training. This course is suitable for beginners, up to experienced practitioners. We incorporate all levels of experience within the training.

This vehicle marshal trainer course is suitable for training operatives anywhere there are vehicle movements onsite in industries such as, but not limited to: 

  • Construction
  • Logistics or Warehouse
  • Utilities
  • Manufacturing
  • Local Authorities
  • Events
  • Retail
  • Archaeological sites
  • Loading/ unloading bays.

  • Car parks

 

This course is not suitable for an air side environment.

Course Aim:  

For the trainee to be able to deliver their own courses in vehicle marshalling to operatives.

 

Certification:

The attendee will receive a City & Guilds Profile of Achievement Award & National Training Services Instructor Certification valid for 3 years. After which a 1 day Refresher Course  is recommended.

Our open courses are held at our training center Unit 1, Adams House, Northampton Science Park, Kings Park Road, Moulton Park Industrial Estate, Northampton, NN3 6LG.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course you will be able to display an understanding of:

  • Basic overview of the Signs and Signals Regulations
  • The hazards of vehicle marshalling and why have training
  • Pre- Operation Checks
  • Communication methods between marshal and driver
  • Practical signs and signals training
  • Common errors and how to rectify them
  • Assessment of trainees

Assessment Criteria:

There is a short question paper and the trainees will be assessed on the practical element.

The training involves candidate participation with the emphasis on the practical element of the training. On day two the candidate will carry out a practical training session on which they will be assessed. If you have any concerns with the assessment criteria, please discuss this with us. 

 

City and Guilds Profile of Achievement:

The candidate will complete a pre-course questionnaire, a mid-course interview and post-course questionnaire to fulfill the requirements of the City and Guilds Profile of Achievement criteria. 

 

Trainer’s Pack:

Candidates will receive a full trainer’s pack including software with PowerPoint, lesson plan and all course materials required to deliver the course.
